Kristine Hughes is Amrock’s Chief Valuation Officer. She leads the appraisal partner management team, appraisal review team and title specialty teams, which work with groups such as appraisers, signing agents, assessors, attorneys and off-shore vendors. Her role includes overseeing AMC compliance, customary and reasonable fee pricing and policy and procedure recording. Additionally, she supervises document storage, client, state and CFPB audits and third-party oversight and governance.
A graduate of Robert Morris University, Kristine has been in the appraisal industry since 1989. She’s worked in all aspects of valuation – from mortgage lending to appraisal management – and is a licensed appraiser in both Michigan and Virginia. Kristine joined Amrock in 2002, and her career and industry knowledge have grown with the company. She appreciates that her role touches many different areas of the business and that each day presents new learning opportunities.
Kristine serves on several industry boards, including the Industry Advisory Council to the Appraisal Foundation and the Executive Committee for the Collateral Risk Network. She is also a designated member of the National Appraiser Association and a member for the Government Affairs committee of the Real Estate Valuation Advocacy Association.
When she’s not at work, Kristine enjoys spending time with her family. In the warmer months, that means boating, riding ATVs, or just hanging out. During winter, she loves to hibernate with a book or two… or ten.
