[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Bob is President and CEO of Valuation Management Compliance LLC, a consultancy for the financial services industry.

He served as Senior Appraisal Policy Advisor, Credit Risk, Chief National Bank Examiner’s office, Comptroller of the Currency until his retirement from the OCC in January, 2017. As the lead expert in appraisal policy affairs his role included advising Examiners-in-Charge of Large, Midsize and Community Banks, answering appraisal policy queries from National Banks and federal Thrifts, and providing Policy expertise in interagency rulemaking.

He was the designated primary contact for the OCC for all related banking guidance and regulations. He was a member of the Appraisal Subcommittee of FFIEC from 2009 to 2011.

Bob received his Master’s Degree in Real Estate Appraisal and Investment Analysis under Dr. James A. Graaskamp at the University of Wisconsin. He holds the MAI designation and has extensive appraisal and forensic appraisal experience.

He was Chief Appraiser, Freddie Mac from 1995 until 2003. He is a co-inventor of “Systems and Methods for Determining the Value of Assets”, an asset valuation modeling invention (United States Patent 7,340,431, 2008). He spent five years as a full time faculty member in the Real Estate Department at Eastern Kentucky University where he developed and taught a capstone graduate course titled simply “Valuation” after the title of Dr. Richard U. Ratcliff’s premiere textbook. His various papers on real estate valuation concepts have appeared in technical publications and texts. He served on the Appraisal Institute special task force that developed the definitions for “Disposition Value” and “Liquidation Value”.
